Passenger Guidelines
Before purchasing a ticket with Iran Asman Airliness , please ensure you review the rules for passenger acceptance and baggage service outlined below. These regulations have been established to prioritize the safety and security of all our flights.
Traveler Information:
- Age Category:
- Adult: 12 years old or older.
- Child: 2 to 12 years old.
- Infant: 7 days to 2 years old (healthy infants can fly from the 7th day post-birth).
Baggage Allowance:
- Domestic Flights: 20 kg free baggage for adults and children.
- International Flights: 30 kg free baggage for adults and children.
- Hand Luggage: 1 piece of hand luggage or laptop and 1 piece of hand attire allowed, with weight restrictions. Dimensions not to exceed 115 cm (40 * 55 * 20).
Flight Check-in and Acceptance Guideline Time:
For domestic flights, passengers can check in and begin the acceptance process at the counter starting 1 hour and 30 minutes before the departure time indicated on their ticket. The acceptance process must be completed at least 40 minutes before the flight for passengers dressed appropriately and 30 minutes before for passengers not conforming to the dress code. Passengers arriving after these deadlines will not be accepted and will miss their flight.
For international flights, passengers can check in and start the acceptance process at the counter from 3 hours before the departure time specified on their ticket. The acceptance process must be completed at least 1 hour before the flight. Passengers arriving later than this timeframe will not be accepted and will miss their flight.
Connecting flights must adhere to the following minimum time intervals between them:
- Domestic to domestic flight: 2 hours
- Domestic to international or vice versa: 4.5 hours
- International to international flight: 3 hours
Prohibited items that are not allowed in hand luggage include knives, scissors, toy guns, swords, sharp and cutting items, blades, shockers, tear gas, tool kits, batons, baseball bats, hockey sticks, and billiard cues. Carrying hazardous goods, liquid oxygen systems/devices, and any liquid oxygen exceeding 5 kilograms per passenger is strictly prohibited.
Hazardous goods are not allowed in hand luggage or checked luggage. Carrying liquid oxygen systems/devices is prohibited. Medical oxygen is permitted only in gaseous form for medical purposes, limited to a maximum of 5 kilograms per passenger.
Special Passengers
Passengers with Reduced Mobility
Passengers with reduced mobility are individuals who, due to reasons such as physical disabilities (sensory or motor), injuries, illnesses, mental challenges, advanced age, or other factors, encounter difficulties or need specific care during flights. They may necessitate services beyond what is typically offered to other passengers by the airline company. This category also includes children
The level of assistance required for these individuals depends entirely on their unique conditions. A passenger with reduced mobility who cannot reach a designated exit in emergencies without help must have a companion. The companion for a passenger with reduced mobility must be at least 16 years old, mentally sound, and physically capable of aiding the passenger during an emergency evacuation from the aircraft.
Infant
Children under 2 years old are considered infants and for air travel, an infant ticket must be purchased for them, and they must travel accompanied by an adult over 15 years old who is capable of caring for and assisting the infant in special conditions and in case of an emergency evacuation.
An infant under two years old does not need a seat and can be held in the lap of the accompanying adult.
Each adult can only hold one infant in their lap, so if two infants are traveling with one adult (for example, twins), a separate seat must be purchased for the second infant, in which case the procedures and regulations of children (Child) will apply (or a person over 12 years old must accompany the second infant).
Each passenger with an infant can carry a special diaper bag for the infant, a stroller, or a special infant seat in addition to their hand luggage into the cabin, which should not weigh more than 10 kilograms.
naccompanied Minor
An unaccompanied minor refers to passengers between the ages of 5 and 12 who travel alone without an adult companion.
Unaccompanied minors can be accepted on the condition that parents or legal guardians accompany the child at the origin airport, and parents, legal guardians, or a designated individual mentioned in the child handling form accompany the child at the destination.
Acceptance and provision of services for unaccompanied minors are not possible for children under five years old.
Regarding children of divorce, this permission must be issued and signed by the father, mother, or paternal grandfather who has custody of the child, and the judge must have confirmed it in writing.
Children traveling alone are entitled to the free baggage allowance corresponding to the class of service in which they are traveling.
🛑 Passengers Prohibited from Travel
The following categories of individuals are restricted from boarding due to safety and operational concerns:
1. Passengers whose medical or physical condition could jeopardize the safety of themselves, fellow passengers, cargo, the aircraft, or the flight crew.
2. Passengers who, even with special accommodations, pose a risk to themselves, others, or property.
3. Passengers who refuse to comply with the airline's regulations and policies.
4. Passengers requiring special seating arrangements due to being in a reclined or lying position.
5. Passengers with infectious or communicable diseases.
6. Passengers whose specific medical conditions may cause discomfort to other passengers.
7. Passengers whose physical or mental condition makes them unable to receive proper assistance during emergency situations, including those requiring a stretcher, infants in special care devices, or individuals with severe mobility, hearing, or vision impairments, unless accompanied by a capable caregiver. This includes assistance during boarding, in-flight, and emergency evacuations.
Individuals under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
Individuals showing signs of illness or malaise.
Enhanced Cabin Baggage Rules:
For passengers with hand luggage exceeding the designated carry-on limit or carrying delicate, valuable, or irregularly shaped items such as musical instruments, electronic gear, artwork, diplomatic pouches, or items requiring special care that cannot be stored in the aircraft's cargo hold, an extra seat in the cabin can be utilized for transporting these items. The passenger must pay for an additional seat explicitly for this purpose.
🛄 Baggage Restrictions
When utilizing our facilities, please adhere to the following baggage dimensions:
- Length: 42 cm
- Width: 40 cm
- Height: 70 cm
Each item must not exceed a weight of 32 kilograms per seat.
Kindly note that tickets purchased for these baggage types are not entitled to free baggage allowance. Therefore, passengers' free baggage allocation will remain unchanged upon purchasing this ticket. Thank you for your understanding!
Important Notice Regarding Carry-On Luggage and Packages
Attention all passengers! We kindly remind you that the maximum weight allowance for carry-on luggage and passenger delivery packages at our acceptance counter is 32 kilograms. Please be informed that carry-on items exceeding this weight limit cannot be accommodated.
In the event that a package exceeds 32 kilograms, passengers are required to redistribute the contents among other packages or luggage. Should it be impractical to divide the package, it will need to be processed and transported as cargo.

Wheelchairs and Mobility Aids
Acceptance and free transportation of wheelchairs powered by batteries or other mobility aids for passengers with limited mobility due to old age, illness, or temporary mobility issues (such as a broken leg).
Wheelchairs with manual folding are accepted and carried without any restrictions, and in addition to the permitted baggage, passengers can bring them on board free of charge.
Wheelchairs operating with dry cell batteries require approval from the airline and can only be accepted as checked baggage. (The battery terminals of these wheelchairs must be insulated.)
Wheelchairs using wet cell batteries require approval from the airline and can only be accepted as checked baggage. (The battery water must be drained and the battery terminals insulated.)
Wheelchairs utilizing lithium batteries require approval from the airline and can only be accepted as checked baggage. (The battery connections must be disconnected and terminals insulated to prevent accidental short circuits. Additionally, the battery capacity should not exceed 300 watt-hours. For devices with 2 batteries, the power of each battery should not exceed 160 watt-hours.)
Special Baggage:
An oversized baggage is a piece of luggage with dimensions that exceed one meter (100 centimeters or 39 inches), including wheels, handles, and packaging. Each passenger is allowed to transport only one piece of oversized baggage.
Such baggage is not included in the passenger's free baggage allowance, and the cost of transporting it is calculated separately from the passenger's free baggage allowance.
For each child up to 5 years old, one stroller and one child car seat are accepted. In order to provide comfort for passengers with infants or children, strollers can be accepted at the reception counter or at the gate upon request.
The transportation cost for a stroller or child car seat is free for children up to 2 years old. For children over 2 years old, if the weight of the stroller exceeds the allowable baggage weight per passenger, an additional fee will be charged for stroller transportation.
Live Animals
Only pets including cats, dogs, hamsters, squirrels, rabbits, and small birds are accepted.
The following animals are not accepted for air transport:
Animals under 3 months or 12 weeks of age.
Animal babies still nursing from their mothers.
Pregnant animals.
Fearful, weak, or delicate animals.
Animals that cannot be housed in a carrier for a period of time.
Animals sensitive to temperature changes.
Animals that have given birth within 48 hours before the flight.
Animals with wounds or injuries , non-domestic animals , animals that produce a bad odor , birds of prey , animals that are not in good health conditions
Animals weighing more than 14 kilograms must have their health and vaccination certificates presented along with them.
The carrier used for transporting the animal must be standard and appropriate for the type and species of the animal. (Containers made of hard plastic such as Kauchu/fiberglass are suitable for this purpose.)
Honey:
In cabin baggage, only 500 grams of honey per passenger is allowed.
Acceptance of honey in checked baggage is possible only if carried in a suitcase, with a maximum of 4 kilograms per passenger allowed.
The packaging of the honey content must be completely resistant and designed in a way to prevent any leakage.
Types of Batteries
Devices containing lithium batteries must be turned off in luggage.
Rechargeable small lithium batteries with a maximum capacity of 100 watts/hour including cameras, laptops, and iPads.
MP3 Players:
If the device has an internal battery: it can be carried both in a pocket or handbag and in a hand luggage.
Spare batteries: can only be carried in hand luggage.
Rechargeable lithium batteries with a capacity between 101 to 160 watt-hours for audiovisual equipment.
Industrial Cameras:
If the battery is inside the device, it can be carried both in checked baggage and in carry-on baggage.
Spare battery: If there are no more than two, it can only be carried in carry-on baggage.
Lithium-ion batteries with a capacity exceeding 160 watt-hours are strictly prohibited for carriage in checked or carry-on baggage.
The number of flowers should not exceed a certain branch. (A relatively small bunch of flowers). Flower branches should be placed in paper, cardboard, or foil wrappings.
Flowers should be in the form of flower branches, not in the form of bushes or pots.
To prevent inconvenience or sensitivity to other passengers, it is not possible to accept flowers that have a strong smell or fragrance.
